Dontrelle Willis compiled a 72-69 record with a 4.17 ERA over 161 MLB games from 2003-2011, known for his distinctive high leg kick and twisting delivery. After going 0.70 ERA with 111 strikeouts in 70 innings as a California Player of the Year at Encinal High School, the Chicago Cubs drafted him in the eighth round of the 2000 draft. Willis posted an 8-2 record with a 2.98 ERA for the Boise Hawks in 2001 before being traded to Florida in a deal for Matt Clement and Antonio Alfonseca. He won 2003 NL Rookie of the Year honors after going 14-6 with a 3.30 ERA and helped the Marlins capture the World Series title.
